As you know, all of the staff at LS1 are committed to providing the very best in dentistry and dental hygiene to ensure that all of our clients look and feel great as well as helping to boost their dental health on a long term basis. As professionals in the industry, we are acutely aware of the importance of lifelong dental health and we also know that this is something that should start from childhood.

This is why LS1 has been eager to support causes that promote dental care on a lifelong basis, and this includes the recent Leeds Smiles Campaign. The campaign encourages parents to ensure that they care for the oral and dental health of their children from an early age. This is not only to educate children and help them to develop good oral hygiene habits but also to promote their dental health as they grow.

The importance of good dental health for children

While dental hygiene and oral health amongst children has improved over the past couple of decades, there is still a long way to go to ensure that children’s lives are not affected long term as a result of dental issues. By supporting the Leeds Smiles campaign we at LS1 hope to be able to make a valuable contribution when it comes to boosting the dental health of little ones in the area.

Without proper dental care, children can experience early tooth decay and other dental issues, which in turn result in related problems. This includes everything from their ability to sleep, play and interact through to their confidence levels when they get to school age. By taking heed of the advice and support offered as part of this campaign, parents can ensure that their children do not have to suffer the physical and psychological effects that can come with decaying and problematic teeth as they get older.
